Volume!

I have long, and when I say long, I mean down to my waist long, dark brown, curly hair. I do straighten it everyday though, and that's all I do with it, there isn't really much I can do with it. I was looking through hairstyles the other day because me & my friend both grew out our hair and she dyed her's brown and cut it the other day for the new school year and says that I should cut my hair too. Only thing is, I've only done it once, in 5th grade. If this was a television show and not a blog, then this is where the flashback scene would begin...
I'm not sure who convinced me to do it, but somebody did, and so I was in the car on the way to the forumn to get my hair cut at CoolCuts for Kidz! because we had a discount coupon for this place. When I went in my mom told the lady where I wanted it cut, an inch below my shoulders. The lady asked me if I wanted to watch a movie or play a game, becuase that's why it's coolcuts for kids, I said no, all I wanted was a haircut, she said ok. "I'm going to watch Shrek becuase it's my favorite kids movie", she said and put the videotape in the tiny TV in front of us. Then the haircutting began. I didn't pay much attention while she did it, because it isn't that exciting, but I also wasn't watching Shrek, because I didn't, and still don't, like that movie. When she was done I looked in the mirror and was horrified; an inch below my shoulders turned into 3 inches above them.

Needless to say, I have not been back there.

I grew my hair back out, which went quickly because I remember having my long hair in 7th grade, and haven't gotten it cut since. But this picture is how I would like my hair to look, if I had to cut it, and I think this weekend I might do just that, and also get a french manicure, because, well, I want one.

How to Make a Pantyhose Necklace

When I was in 7th grade (I'm in 11th now) I used to see a bunch of girls in my gym class with these little black choker necklaces, I always wanted to ask where they got them or how they made them, but I never did. Then one day I overheard them say that they were made out of pantyhose. There was no spare pantyhose around my house, and I don't think my mom would've appreciated me bying some just to cut it apart and make a necklace, so I forgot about them. Until about five minutes ago. I looked up "pantyhose necklace" on google, and it came up with results! Sadly, there aren't any pictures of it, and I kind of wanted one for this...ah well. I think I might have some black pantyhose that I wore to band banquet my freshman year that I never did fit into, nor did I like, and that I wouldn't mind cutting up and making into a necklace. I'm going to go find them now, good day!

In case you're curious...

1.Find a pair of pantyhose with the color of your choice. Think colorful.
2.Pick a leg of the pantyhose and take the largest part of it (usually the upper thigh).
3.Cut a piece of pantyhose about 1 to 2 inches (2.5cm - 5cm) thick. Make sure that it is still a complete, closed circle after cutting.
4.Roll it. The piece should roll up by itself so it is less than a centimeter thick. If not, use your fingers to roll it up.
5.Wear it. Because it's so stretchy, you can stretch it over your head and around your neck. It won't be tight because of the stretchiness, and it's awesomely stylish and unique!

There you go!!!

Band Day 11

Today we learned set 15, 15a, 15b, 15c, & 16. They have to be my least favorite sets so far, it's not that they're bad, but it's that they are so hard to get to. Backwards jazz running while playing, 8count turns while backwards jazz running, and so on, not fun for short people like myself.
While we were doing that, I thought about something, the "knight pride" car sticker thing that I have on the back of my car, is probably going to pull some of the paint off when I take it off.... The only reason I care is because I kind of hoped to get a job the second semester of this year, when there isn't all the marching band stuff going on, and save up some money, and buy a truck, which would mean selling my car. Idea #1--Just take it off, it's not like anybody who didn't care about the roof would care about that
Idea #2--Leave it on, say I have another, and let them pull it off themselves.

I then had to learn another set so I stopped thinking about it.

Just realized that I can send pics here from my phone, I should do that. I should also put ones I take on my camera, because I take A LOT of photos, of basically everything.

Band Day 10

We learned all the way up to set 14, and things went smoothly, mainly because there were some clouds and a nice breeze outside. Our show this year is a bunch of lines, which I find incredibly boring, we normally do awesome looking shows & visuals and stuff, but so far this year, that's not present in our show. My favorite part of Segment 1: Sets 9-13, because I just get to stand in one place, that unfortunately is at the front where I can't move at all and where I have to atleast pretend to play.... Which, is what I will be doing at the first football game because my mouth is still not to the point where I can play yet. I got powerchains on today, I've had my braces done many times and they never hurt after the initial visit, but these powerchains.. OW OW OW OW OW!!!!!!!! >.< They hurt SOOOO bad. They put away any ideas I had about attempting to play this week/weekend.
I should record the show someday & put it on here (they say we shouldn't let competition see it, but I doubt people read this, so it's ok)
